Review of St Margarets Taunton - Lymphoedema written by a patient

I had a routine appointment for lymphoedema check after breast cancer. The nurses are very caring and I feel the support they give is second to none. I also feel the emotional support is very important and they are easy to talk to. There is nothing about my treatment at the centre that needs improvement.

Review of St Margarets - Community Support Service written by a patient
4th August 2014

I emailed a note to the Sunflower Friend's organizer which sums up my experience and feelings about the help I had and am continuing to receive and reproduce it below: Just a short note about St. Margaret’s Sunflower Friends. I can’t thank you and your colleagues enough for all the support I have received in the past few months. The difference it has made to me to be able to look forward to a visit from my Sunflower Friend volunteer is huge. Help with shopping, a chat over a cuppa and a good laugh with a person of enormous empathy has improved my life immeasurably. After some previous disappointing experiences with cancer support groups and “coffee mornings” I was sceptical about asking for assistance. I am so glad I did as it has made a positive impact on my life, as it will for anyone else who is affected by a life-limiting illness and needs a little help from a new friend.
